Todd Ablowitz is a recognized and respected industry leader with nearly 15 years of experience working for the acquiring and payments industry's top brands. As Founder and President of Double Diamond Group LLC, Ablowitz leverages his unique skills, expertise and industry relationships to ensure clients achieve their business goals.
Ablowitz has developed strategy based on trends and market demands, created and launched new products, and built and led successful sales organizations. Investors, analysts and industry watchers frequently rely on Ablowitz for expert advice, trend insights and consulting on payments and payments innovations. He has a vast network of diverse contacts that spans the industry in every major region of the world.
Prior to establishing Double Diamond Group in 2008, Ablowitz was Senior Vice President of Sales for the leading contactless and mobile payments company, ViVOtech, Inc. Ablowitz successfully built and led the ViVOtech sales team and facilitated the acceptance of new technology to the world's top retail brands, increasing sales of the company's card readers fourfold. Under his leadership, the company diversified sales channels and launched new resellers, integrators, vertical market vendors, acquirers and ISOs to boost incremental revenue and drive growth.
Ablowitz gained deep industry knowledge and leadership experience during his 10 years with First Data Corp. He led a premier payments sales force and ran the product team for Wells Fargo Merchant Services LLC. Throughout his First Data career, he and his teams repeatedly conceived and executed programs that generated millions of dollars of incremental revenue and profit. He was instrumental in the evaluation, development and launch of some of the industry's most innovative products. Additionally, Ablowitz managed First Data's relationship with several of the world's best retail brands.
His leadership is exemplified by service to the industry. He currently is an Advisory Board member for Billing Revolution, a leading mobile payments company, and he serves on the Board of Directors for the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA). In 2010, Ablowitz received the industry's highest individual honor, ETA Member of the Year.
Prior to being elected to the ETA Board in 2008, Ablowitz served as a member, Vice Chairman, then Chairman of the ETA Technology Committee. During his last year as Chairman, the ETA Technology Committee was awarded 2008 Committee of the Year. Ablowitz presents at numerous industry events and seminars where he is viewed as an authority on payment technology, and he is quoted extensively as an expert in industry trade publications.
Ablowitz holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a certificate in negotiation from the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.
